The mission of the Pickens High School Media Center is to promote reading and literacy and to collaborate with the learning community in developing life-long readers and effective users of information. In accordance with this mission, the Pickens High School Media Center seeks to: 

• provide an inviting and stimulating environment for learning. 

• support and extend the school's curriculum. 

• provide current learning resources in a variety of formats. 

• be a catalyst for technology innovation and integration. 

• promote the responsible use of technology resources.
