"This is OUR time," PACK. And what a time it has been! As we close out the 2023-2024 school year at Liberty Primary, we celebrate the fun we've had, the friendships we've formed, and the growth that we've made this year. Our Summer Celebration Week is one of our favorite traditions at LPS. It helps us to send our returning students off for the summer in a special way, and allows us to wish our 2nd and 3rd graders well as they transition to Liberty Elementary next year. We are so thankful for this year with our Wolfpack! We hope this video leaves you with great memories of our 2023-2024 school year! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owhlrTzCrcQ

2nd grade parents: Due to the increasing potential for rain, we are going to have to move our 2nd Grade Wish Well Ceremony inside today at 1:15. Seating will be limited so feel free to still bring your camping chair if you'd like. We hate that weather is changing the plan, but we are still looking forward to celebrating our 2nd graders! See you soon!

Happy School Principals’ Day to our favorite principal, Mrs. Jessica Patterson! Today, our 4K classes celebrated her with a special song and cards they made for her. Mrs. Patterson has led Liberty Primary for a decade (!!) and we appreciate her vision and leadership, knowledge of early literacy, and continued, proven excellence over the years at LPS!

spring testing schedule
Good afternoon, PACK families! Hope you have had a great Spring Break! We are looking forward to seeing our students tomorrow, Monday, April 8. As a reminder, there is a partial solar eclipse happening between 2:00-4:00. Although it will remain a normal school day for our district, SDPC recognizes the importance of ensuring the safety of our students during this event, especially since it coincides with our dismissal time. SDPC is providing all staff and students with eye glasses to view the eclipse. Please emphasize with your child the importance of NOT looking directly at the sun without these glasses. Regular sunglasses, tinted windows, or looking out of regular bus or car windows do not provide adequate protection and can cause eye damage. The glasses we will provide students exceed the ISO standard 12312-2 for viewing the sun. In addition, if you plan to dismiss your child early on this day, please ensure that you sign your child out of school by 1:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow, Wolfpack!

We kicked off our celebration of Week of the Young Child with "Music and Movement Monday!" Our Wolfpack sang, danced, waved scarves, drummed, made kazoos, played instruments, and went on musical parades around the school - just to name a few of the engaging activities our students participated in their classrooms throughout the day. Check out the document linked below for ideas on how to incorporate "music and movement" at home as well! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1J9LNHgv7GQFAoiPcP18umddx3ssDUP1I/view?usp=sharing

Liberty Primary School had some special guests today! The South Carolina State Department of Education was so impressed with their visit to LPS a couple of weeks ago, that they asked if they could create a video about our school! They recorded teaching and learning in classrooms- and we were able to share about our journey and the resources that we use to teach our students to read. We are so proud to share the work that our teachers and students do every day, and are honored that we were chosen to share our story across the state! We look forward to sharing the feature video with you in a couple of weeks!

Did you know? Each student at Liberty High School has an individualized plan to help ensure that they graduate on time and are College- and Career-Ready. This plan (including academic coursework, work-based learning programs, completer pathways at the Career Center, WIN testing, student work-study opportunities, and in-house CTE pathways such as Marketing and Family & Consumer Science) ensures that each student is tracked throughout their time at LHS and “no one falls through the cracks.” For more information about how the Liberty Area schools offer career exposure opportunities to our students, click below! #thisisliberty #oneliberty #welltakeitfromhere https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcoPgulfB1k
