Flyer promoting a parent event hosted by the School District of Pickens County and Parent ProTech titled “Raising Kids with Technology (Without Losing Your Mind).” The event will take place March 24 at 6:00 PM at East Pickens Baptist Church, 2244 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, SC 29642. The session explains how phones, games, and screens are affecting families and children, including increased stress, arguments, less sleep, shorter attention spans, and more anxiety. Joshua from Parent ProTech will lead a practical session to help parents understand technology’s impact, set reasonable limits, have better conversations with their children, and create a simple plan for technology use at home. A QR code labeled “Scan Me” is provided to register for the event. Images on the flyer show a laptop, desktop computer, and phone displaying the Parent ProTech platform. A section titled “What is Parent ProTech?” explains that Parent ProTech equips communities with tools to navigate technology safely through tech guides and a K-12 digital citizenship curriculum. The platform serves 5,500+ schools in 25 states and helps parents, educators, and experts stay ahead of technology trends. The resource is free to all SDPC families, and the event will help parents sign up and learn how to use it.
